I am currently an IT Applications Specialist at Exeter Township School District. Prior to my current experience, I have served as as Assistant Director of Assistive and Computer Technologies at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, as well as the Diocese of Allentown as an Instructional Technology Specialist and classroom teacher from 2014 through 2021. Based on my own classroom experiences, I strongly believe that technology can enhance and improve learning opportunities for students by providing more opportunities for access, increasing their engagement and opening up a world for them full of experiences and opportunities, preparing them for a successful future.
I bring a unique skill set to my role through my knowledge of computing technologies and my experience and training as an educator. It allows me to better understand the needs of my teachers when using new instructional technology, communicate with them more effectively, troubleshoot issues quickly, and employ creative solutions to meet learning goals.
My time management skills and organization have afforded me opportunities to be involved in very interesting projects, including two 1:1 iPad deployments, the construction of a video production studio, a classroom A/V upgrade, and a school-wide security improvement plan.
